In this online class students will paint a Long Tailed Sylph and showcase the features of this interesting little bird against a warm tropical background. Using both a direct and indirect painting techniques and methods, the instructor Gaby Hunter will demonstrate her simple techniques for creating the iridescence and shine on the feathers, texture on bark and moss, branches and other details. Gaby will show you how to manage color to create the pictorial atmosphere, create the mood and depth of this classic styled painting. Using acyrlic paints, Gaby will also show you how she brush mixes color for harmony and contrast. This is an excellent class for all skill levels.
