How to Paint A Rose: Discover the Flemish technique used by the Old Dutch Masters.  Paint along and create depth and dimension using a traditional layering method.  Watch this painting come to life as the artist begins with a tonal underpainting, develops the middle values through the use of the classical dead layer, and slowly develops color through the subsequent use of opaque and transparent layers of pigment.  This lesson will help you gain a greater understanding of the methods used by the Old Masters.

I have painted in oils for many years and never thought you could get the same results using acrylic paint. Very good instructions; clear and concise!
