For those of you who want to know how to paint flowers, starting with a simple flower like the orchid is a great way to begin. As the name implies, painting orchids has always been one of my passions. In the last few years, I began growing and collecting these unique tropical plants so I can have access to the live subjects for my painting lessons. By working with a complementary color scheme, I wanted to demonstrate how painting with a limited palette the artist can adjust and expand the two complementary colors for variety and interest.
