Acrylic Painting Pattern: Painting Pansy flowers:
This packet will take you through the steps to paint your very own fun pansy using a wet on wet technique to create the shape and form of this multi-petal flower.
Learn to paint waterdrops and the wings of the bee using transparent color and to softly blend background color.
See the link below for a short video link on mottling the background.
Pansy is derived from the French word pensee, "thought" and remembrance. It is believed pansies were named that because the petals can resemble a face and they nod forward as though deep in thought. Receiving a bouquet of pansies from someone means "thinking of you".
Surface size 16x20 inch canvas - this pattern can be adapted to fit a smaller size surface.
This design, created by artist Connie Clark is a really fun one to paint. The flower itself is oversize or blow up to fit on a large canvas surface. The painting pattern comes complete with line drawing, the color palette, written instruction and step by step photographs.
Painted using DecoArt Traditions Artistès acrylic paint, it is easy to get lovely clear colors as these are pure pigment acrylic paints. However, the painting lesson can also be painted using oil paints if you are comfortable using this media.
