How to paint Koi Fish? Here you go...

This painting pattern includes the step by step painting instructions to complete this acrylic painting. Artist and teacher Gabriele Hunter has created two Koi paintings in this pattern. Two line drawings are provided, so you don't even have to know how to draw. The multi-colored background is created using a mottling effect, and the colors help to enhance this bright and fun composition of the popular pond fish. Gaby has provided a broad color choice so these paintings can be adapted to fit with most home decors and tailored for personal tastes.

The pattern instructions walk you through from beginning to end, and each step is laid out so you can paint along at your own pace. There are several acrylic painting techniques used in the design, from wet and wet blending to transparent glazing. Lots to be learned in this painting pattern...jump right in and create two Koi paintings to brighten any room in the home.

  1. Fluide comme de l'eau sur le dos d'un poisson!

Posted by Chantal on 29th Oct 2013

Bonjour! J'ai vraiment bien aimé faire ce projet. Le dessin et les explications etaient assez claires. Come je suis débutante, j'ai pris du temps surtout pour les fondus et reflets sur les poissons. Mais je suis très heureuse du résultat.
