Surface preparation, artists tools and materials. The goals are to prepare and train the student for painting on several traditional and standard surfaces. Proper preparation of surfaces and maintenance of materials and the correct use of standard artist’s tools and the application of finishes will be covered. Students learn how to prepare a canvas, tin, glass, wood, plastic, and even prefinished surfaces before acrylic painting. It doesn't matter what surface you want to paint on, we can show you how to best prepare it for painting. The instructors are all seasoned artists who have painted on all kinds and types of surfaces. They will share tips and many techniques to make the process easy and quick.
